Do you agree that star trek voyager has terrible graphics?

Well, im almost done with DS9 (im on season 6). So i was thinking of getting Voyager. However, the episode that i saw was horrible. The acting was good, better than TNG actually, but the graphics of the ship in space were horrible. Its always obvious that its not real, computer generated, but this stuff looks like stuff some of my computer whiz friends could have done. Maybe i saw an early episode, it was the one where the black vulcan crash landed on that planet and met all those children. Any info (including an explanation why the graphics suck) would be appreciated.
